Want more people to stay - why not add a tent for £20 a night?
Short cycle ride to the village where you will find the play park, lakes with birds and fishing, village shop and pub an d the orchard.
Cycle along the B1903 towards March. Cross the river road at Boots Bridge and find the Skylark Garden Centre and activity centre on the left. Cafe and play area with activities for children during holidays - including a maize maze.
Turn left before this for the ancient Stonea camp
Cycle to the village and passed the park. Turn right before the lakes and then take the right turn at the junction. Follow the road towards the river. Cycle along the river road to Welches Dam and the bird reserve. There is a visitors centre but no cafe!
Cycle to the village. From the village park ,turn left and follow the road turning right at the first bend and at first the junction. This is a circular route . Turn right into the village and right at the pub to get back to the park.
Welney is home to the WWT centre where swans can be seen feeding. There is a cafe and visitor centre. The village has a good pub serving food.
Turn out of the gate and turn left. Follow the road until you get to the right turn. Take this and follow the road to the next junction. Turn right and follow this road to the next junction where you turn right. The pub is on the left. To get to the WWT continue past the pub over the bridge and take the road to the left along the river bank.
Cycle to the village and passed the park. Turn right before the lakes and then take the right turn at the junction. Follow the road towards the river. Cycle along the river road to Welches Dam. Continue along the river path until you reach Mepal where there is a pub serving food.
