COVID-19 Risk Assessment and Cleaning Protocol

Guy’s Farm is a farmhouse that sleeps up to 12 guests. It is located a mile from the nearest village and surrounded by fields and farmland. Its location makes it relatively low risk. There are plenty of places to walk, run or cycle and routes for these can be found on the website and in the utility room.

a) Bedrooms and bedding – there are five bedrooms and a day bed in the lounge. All bedding and towels are washed and changed prior to your stay. All bedrooms are spacious.

b) Bathrooms – there is a family bathroom, ensuite and shower room. All toiletries are supplied in sealed wall dispensers but you are welcome to bring your own. Hand and bath towels are supplied but again you are welcome too bring your own. 

c) Living areas – there are two living rooms – one large room with TV and a smaller snug. We shall be removing the children’s toys and books usually supplied in the interest of safety. If you wish to borrow these then please let us know on booking. We shall also remove some of the cushions so that covers can be washed between guests. 

d) Kitchen – the kitchen is fully equipped – please use the dishwasher to ensure that these are kept clean. We will be limiting the food basics we supply and supplying these in new sealed containers for your use. Please feel free to take any opened unfinished packs when you leave. We will supply tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits.

e) Utility room – cleaning materials are stored in the cupboard in the utility room for use during your stay. 

There is plenty of outdoor space at Guy’s Farm – there is a small garden, a field where you can camp, walk dogs, play games and picnic and a patio area with BBQ (firepit). 

 The hot tub has been cleaned and serviced. Please ensure that you follow the instructions in the house when using it. It is essential that the chemical levels are checked daily and that you top up chemicals as required. The instructions and chemical are in the utility room. We do provide flip flops and towels for the hot tub but please feel free to bring your own if you wish. Flip flops and towels are all washed between guests and we have two sets, so we rotate them. There is a disinfectant foot dip to use before entering the tub.

There are cleaning materials for your use in the bathrooms, kitchen and the utility room cupboard. There is a supply of liquid soap, wipes and hand sanitiser in the house. Please feel free use these during your stay. New kitchen clothes etc are supplied for each stay.

At Guy’s Farm we have a self-check in system via a key lock box. You will be sent the code before you check in

a. If you are booking directly with us we have tweaked our policy to accommodate for the uncertain times we are in.

We will require a deposit of 25% of the total on booking, with final payment 6 weeks before the stay. You can pay be cheque, PayPal or BACS. We will be able to offer you a full refund or rebook at the same price, if your trip cannot go ahead for one of the following reasons

1. Government advice changes so that the reservation cannot go ahead, or you cannot travel 

2. Your flight is cancelled

3. You or one of your party have symptoms of COVID 19 or have tested positive (in this case we ask you to cancel or postpone)

b. Booking through an agent (Trip advisor, Airbnb, Booking.com, Home Away) – if you book through an agent your payment goes to them and we do not receive monies until after you have checked in. If you wish to cancel please check their policies for details. Please also email me and I will see if I can help.
